We are no strangers that car insurance rates in all parts of the world are costly and can somehow be the source of our stress when it is paying time. This is why it is always good to ask for discounts on our premiums because this can help with our financial woes in one way or another.
While car insurance costs are high, many people still buy into the notion to have at least one for themselves because the benefits you will get will be worth your money.

Despite this inhibition, though, there are ways to significantly lower your monthly rate with some tricks. Several car insurance companies consider several factors when computing what premium they will give you.
These factors may include the years you are driving, what kind of car you own and driver, your age and gender, among other things.
One factor, however, which you can use to your advantage is something related to your job.

GoCompare founding member Lee Griffin explained this factor, saying one’s occupation is a key cog for companies to give you a higher or lower yearly or monthly premium rate.
He said different professions differ from each other concerning their car insurance rates. If one’s profession is riskier, then car insurance is higher in cost. His example is between a footballer and a priest, where the latter gets a lower rate because of the nature of his job.
With this, Lee explained, there are job titles on a pre-determined list, which could accurately describe your profession, and this way, you can make savings.
Lee cited one example in the pre-determined list, which is the ‘chef’. Instead of ticking the chef, the insurer might want to look for the ‘kitchen staff’ choice because this will save him or her as much as £88 per month.
Other occupations with similar cases include construction workers, office workers, teachers, and journalists.
